Elementary art teacher at highly selective and high performing independent school in downtown Manhattan. Projects explore a range of skills from 2D to 3D, sculpture, collage, drawing, painting, ceramics, and more.

Lead art teacher educating in visual arts to 400 children in West Harlem at New York City's top performing charter school.
 
Art Teacher: Zeta Charter Schools

Providing art education to kindergarten and first graders. Students learn about the elements of art while developing tactile skills through student-centered lessons and projects. Students are challenged to push their abilities through a scope of mediums. Students are exposed to a range of artists from diverse backgrounds to inform and contextualize their art works. Responsible for providing art aesthetics to both school sites (Bronx/Inwood) along with executing art shows.

Assisted in teaching art to Pre-K to fifth grade students. Planned and independently taught a monochromatic painting unit to Kindergarten while also co-teaching in drawing, collage, sculpture and ceramics to other grades. Assisted in teaching art to middle school students in sixth to eighth grade. Students explored self-portrait drawings, Romaire Bearden inspired collages, and abstract watercolor painting works informed by Wassily Kandsinky and the experience of music. Assisted in hanging art throughout both schools.
